As a lifelong resident of St. Clements with deep family and community ties, I am proud to announce my candidacy for Municipal Council in Ward 1 this October. 

While I am new to politics, I am certainly not new to serving our community. For 22 years, I had the privilege of working closely with local families as a school librarian at both Happy Thought School and East Selkirk Middle School. Though I officially retired in 2019, my dedication to our community remains unchanged. I continue to support our residents and youth by working as a casual substitute within the Lord Selkirk School Division and at the Gaynor Regional Library. Over the years, I have also actively served on numerous committees as a parent, an employee, and a dedicated volunteer. 

My career and volunteer work have always been about listening, helping others, and bringing people together. I am stepping forward to run for council because I believe our local government should reflect those exact same values. 

As your Ward 1 Councillor, I will bring a fresh perspective guided by strong principles: 

• True Representation: I believe in real community service and being an accessible, dependable voice for you. 

• Honesty & Transparency: I believe in an open, accountable local government where residents are always kept informed. 

• Informed Decision-Making: I believe in doing the research, looking at the facts, and making decisions based on what is genuinely best for our entire community. 

St. Clements is my home, and I want to ensure it continues to be a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. I am running to represent your community and your priorities.
